Why do you need a metadata editor?
When you download an MP3 or bounce a track out of your studio software, the file is usually completely blank when it comes to track information. If you share that file, it will just show up as "Track 1" with an unknown artist in most media players.
A metadata editor lets you permanently attach text data directly into the audio file. You can embed the correct song title, the album name, the artist, the track number, and even upload the official album cover art so it displays beautifully on phones and in car stereos.
How to edit your ID3 tags
Upload your MP3 file. You will see a form where you can type in all the relevant track information. The more fields you fill out, the better.
You can also drag and drop an image file into the artwork box to embed the cover art. When you are finished, just hit the save button. The tool injects all of this data into the file's ID3 headers and gives you the finalized MP3 to download. The process runs locally so it is completely private.

Why is my album art not showing up?
Some older media players struggle with massive images. For the best compatibility, try to use a square JPEG image that is exactly 500x500 pixels.
Does this work on WAV files?
WAV files handle metadata very differently than MP3s. While some tags can be saved using BWF chunks, album art embedded in WAV files is often ignored by standard players like iTunes.
Can I add custom lyrics?
