What is a Bass Booster?

A bass booster is an equalizer (EQ) specifically designed to target and amplify the low-end frequencies of an audio signal. Typically, this targets frequencies between 30Hz (sub-bass) and 150Hz.

How does this tool prevent distortion?

When you increase the bass by extreme amounts (like +20dB), the audio signal will naturally exceed the maximum digital limit (0dBFS), causing horrible clipping and distortion. Our tool uses an intelligent Dynamics Compressor and Limiter to contain the peaks while keeping the massive low-end energy intact.
